Olympic Gold for ‘Shooting Schumi’
Congratulations to Silver Distributor Ralf Schumann who we featured in the August edition of the Nikken Wellness – Family Magazine and has won his third Gold Olympic medal in the Rapid Fire Pistol event.
Also known as ‘Lord of the Rings’, Ralf puts his success down to focussing solidly on this goal for one and a half years. He trained for 12 hours every day to simulate what it would be like in a final and he has calculated that he has probably fired about 22,000 shots in one year during his training.
Ralf says, “I also worked with a psychologist, who taught me a lot about positive thinking. And I had physiotherapy sessions, which was important because my tendons and muscles are not what they once were. It is unbelievably wonderful that all this has been worthwhile. I have three Olympic gold medals, and each one in itself is unique."
